Dr. Jennifer Gao (Dr. TCM) & Owner

Dr. Jennifer Gao, a CTCMA registrant since 2005, brings to the profession more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice in both China and Canada. She comes from a long line of TCM doctors and, inheriting that passion, has been a TCM educator for 13 of those years, teaching at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Tzu Chi International College of TCM in Vancouver.

Dr. Gao obtained her bachelor’s degree from China’s Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Her areas of focus include digestive, respiratory, gynaecological and skin issues, emotional conditions, and pain management. She takes a multi-dimensional approach to diagnosis, believing in the connection between emotional and physical health, and is passionate about the value of patient education. Her broad professional knowledge in both clinical practice and in teaching has given her a deservedly solid reputation.

Dr. Gao is committed to providing a high standard of TCM practice in the interest of British Columbians.

His patients describe him as caring, warm hearted, and giving. A treatment with Luc contains a hands-on approach, where acupuncture, joint mobilizations, deep tissue massage, acupressure, personal advice, and exercises are combined. Due to his extended education in the Musculoskeletal system, he is capable of helping you with many forms of joint, muscle, and nerve pains. He tries to find the links between pain, muscular imbalances, and connections with the internal organs.
